BIOGRAPHY

Electronic Dance Music DJ/Producer Manuel Riva (George Emanuel Călin) managed to become one of the most successful Romanian music producers, being the core producer for several Romanian mainstream dance acts for many years, since the year 2000. Manuel Riva chose the deep tech house way for his productions and also for his DJ activity because it defines him so well.
Manuel Riva has already proved his producer skills, releasing several powerful deep and tech tracks: “How you say” (together with Hyptonix), “Wrong or Right” (with Eneli), the famous NOA Club official anthem – “We Are One” (with Eneli), “Mhm Mhm” (also with Eneli) – one of his most successful singles so far mainly because of the international recognition – and also several remixes and bootlegs.
One of his collaborations called “Close the deal” (with Optick and Eneli), a deep and progressive flavored tune, caught the attention of EDM king Tiesto who just played it during one of his latest Club Life radio show episodes.
The first half of 2016 Manuel Riva has been busy touring, but did not forget his fans and released one original new track “We Own The Night” (feat. Luise) together with Onuc, longtime friend and talented DJ/producer, and another two remixes for Paul Damixie – “Time” and U-Gin – “Faith In You“.
Meanwhile, his smash hit “Mhm, Mhm” topped the national and international radio charts and for several weeks it’s been in the Billboard Dance/Club Chart. All these brought him a well-deserved nomination for Best Romanian Act in the MTV European Music Awards 2016.
2016 has been a good year for music and a great year for Manuel Riva, so he couldn’t end it in more style than releasing his second single: “Hey Now“, the very much expected sequel which took everybody by surprise with its uplifting vibe.
